Sue AnderBois is the Climate & Energy Program Manager at The Nature Conservancy in Rhode Island. In this role, she is focused on advocating for science-based policies to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions, as well as implementing resilience planning efforts in municipalities across the state. Prior to this, Sue served as Rhode Island’s first director of food strategy. In this role, Sue worked with colleagues across State government and throughout Rhode Island to develop & implement Relish Rhody – Rhode Island’s Food Strategy, which was released by Governor Raimondo in May 2017. Sue’s background is in policy and strategy – both in food systems work and in clean energy. In Rhode Island, she served as a member of the RI Food Policy Council from 2014-2016, and currently serves as the Chair of the Providence Sustainability Task Force and the Development Committee Chair for the Green Energy Consumers Alliance. She also serves on the Advisory Board for Farm to Institution New England. She has an MBA from the Yale School of Management and a B.A in Environmental Studies from Dartmouth College and lives in Providence, with her husband (Scott) and their dog (Captain Ruggles) and two tuxedo cats (Wasabi & Zeni). In her spare time, she enjoys lifting weights, long walks with Captain Ruggles, and eating good food.
