Sheryl joins FINE this summer as a research and evaluation associate. She is currently a graduate student at NYU’s Food Studies program, where her work focuses on sustainable agriculture and food sovereignty. Prior to joining FINE, Sheryl worked as a chef and educator for many years in her home city of NYC. Her involvement with organizations like Slow Food USA and Food Not Bombs solidified her commitment to making food more accessible, local, and equitable. Outside of school and FINE, she works at Afresh, an AI-powered company that helps groceries and supermarkets reduce food waste along the supply chain. She is deeply motivated by the ways that data can be leveraged to gain meaningful insights and drive impactful changes in our food system.
