Hannah Leighton recently completed a Master’s degree in Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Her graduate work focused on connecting local farmers and producers to traditionally underserved communities through wholesale markets, specifically schools and institutions. Hannah received her Bachelor's degree in Creative Writing from the New School University and spent several years working as a food writer, in fine dining, and on vegetable and small-scale livestock farms before returning to school to connect all of her experiences. Hannah believes that a healthy food system comes from looking at the entire supply chain and she is eager to continue this work with the metrics team at FINE.
