FINE Welcomes Tania Taranovski as Director of Programs

The Farm to Institution New England team is pleased to announce that Tania Taranovski has joined FINE as our new full-time director of programs. Tania will lead our farm and sea to campus program as well as our food service program. Additionally, she will play a senior role in operations, strategy, and management for FINE.

We were overwhelmed by the response to our job posting, both in terms of the sheer number of applicants and the experience, skills, and passion of the people who applied. While it was a challenging decision, we all agreed that Tania is the perfect fit for us at this dynamic and exciting time in our organization's development.

Tania comes to FINE with extensive experience in program leadership with nonprofit organizations, including over ten years working on food system strategies, with a major focus on sustainable seafood.

Most recently, Tania worked as a strategic advisor for the International Pole & Line Foundation, guiding strategy development and targeted fundraising from diverse funders. Previously, she served as the director of programs and operations for the Anderson Cabot Center for Ocean Life at the New England Aquarium and the sustainable seafood programs director at the aquarium. In these roles, Tania contributed to the launch of the Anderson Cabot Center, led the strategic growth of the Aquarium's sustainable seafood programs, cultivated new corporate partnerships and strategic alliances, and oversaw public outreach and education efforts.

Earlier in her career, Tania served as the head of regional field centers for Earthwatch Institute, where she worked with communities and scientists to achieve conservation research objectives in Africa and the Americas. Tania also served as a board member of the Global Sustainable Seafood Initiative and as a steering committee member of the Conservation Alliance for Seafood Solutions.

We look forward to working together to increase our impact in the region and beyond. Please join us in welcoming Tania to the FINE team! You can reach her at [email protected] and find her on LinkedIn.
