Join us in saying a fond "farewell" to Riley after four years with FINE
After four years of leading FINE’s Farm & Sea to Campus initiatives, including the Maine Food for the UMaine System collaboration and the New England Farm & Sea to Campus Network – shepherding its launch in 2015 – Riley Neugebauer is leaving the FINE team.
“Riley has been an incredible asset to FINE, with her deep experience working with colleges and extensive knowledge of the supply chain from farm to fork. Her passion, drive, creativity and productivity will be dearly missed,” said FINE’s network director Peter Allison.
Simca Horwitz, co-director of Massachusetts Farm to School Project and co-lead of the New England Farm & Sea to Campus Network, said, “Riley’s leadership and vision is an inspiration for all of us involved in the New England Farm & Sea to Campus Network. Her creativity and commitment were essential in the conception and launch of the network.”
Renee Page, leader of the Maine Farm to Institution (MEFTI) network, said, “Riley’s connections with the higher education sector have proven invaluable as we launch farm to institution efforts here in Maine. Riley is a natural born networker, a skill that is essential for moving this work forward. We are so pleased that she is going to continue to be a driving force with MEFTI and put down roots in Maine.”
Riley plans to focus her time in the near term on her budding farm in Lincolnville, Maine, and stay involved in MEFTI. Dana Stevens, who coordinated the recent 2017 New England Farm to Institution Summit, will be taking on many of Riley’s roles, along with other staff. You can contact Dana at [email protected].
The New England Farm & Sea to Campus Network’s steering committee will continue to provide strategic direction, and the network’s four active working groups will partner with FINE staff to identify and implement projects that serve the network.
Please join us in showing gratitude to Riley and wishing her the best in her future endeavors. You can reach her at [email protected] through the end of May.
